WEBSTER - Philip M. Tarbell, 60, of Fifth Ave., died Thursday, June 24, 2010, in Florida. He is survived by his mother, Constance E. (Bourn) Tarbell; a son, Scott Wayne Tarbell and his wife Ayako of Amesbury; two sisters, Karen L. Ward and her husband Kerry of Georgia, and Carol J. Tarbell of Webster; two grandchildren, Safia and Jonah Tarbell; nephews and nieces Kyle Ward, Kent Ward, Connie Daniels, Cathy Shepard, and April Sandberg; aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Gary W. Tarbell of Webster who died in 1969; and a niece, Jennifer L. Cody of Webster who died in 1976. He was born in Webster, the son of the late Kenneth P. Tarbell, and lived in Webster before moving to Florida in April. He graduated from Bartlett High School in Webster in 1969. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. Mr. Tarbell worked at Winn Dixie in Florida. He was named Boy of the Year by the Dudley Boy's Club in 1965 and enjoyed music and playing his guitar. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 9, 2010, at North Cemetery, Main St., Oxford. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, is directing the arrangements.
