OXFORD - Philip E. Ryan, 72, of Paige Lane, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 29, 2014, after a long illness. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Janet M. (Prunier) Ryan of Oxford; three children, Philip Ryan Jr., Tracy Ryan, and Mary Ryan; two stepchildren, Michael Lauziere and his wife Renee, and Dawn Wilbur and her husband John; a brother, Robert Ryan; two sisters, Brenda Kupa and Virginia Ryan; grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester, the son of the late Ernest J. and Mae L. (Leofanti) Ryan, and lived in Worcester before moving to Oxford over 30 years ago. He graduated from St. Peter Marian High School in Worcester in 1960. Mr. Ryan worked for Hill-Rom for many years, retiring in 2008. Previously, he worked for Rouke Eno Paper Co. in Providence, RI. He was a member of St. Roch's Church in Oxford. He loved traveling, camping, working in his yard, his cats, and was an avid fan of the New England sports teams. A funeral will be held on Friday, May 2, 2014, from Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Roch's Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at North Cemetery in Oxford. Calling hours are Thursday, May 1, 2014, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to "Be The Match", 3001 Broadway St. N.E., Suite 100, Minneapolis, MN 55413-1753.
