WORCESTER – Philip W. Dennison, Sr., 69, of Clarissa Street, died peacefully on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at UMass-Memorial Medical Center – University Campus in Worcester, with his family by his side.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Darlene M. (Mayotte) Dennison of Worcester; two sons, Philip W. Dennison Jr. of Worcester, and Brian D. Dennison and his wife Jennifer of Charlton; two brothers, Ronald Dennison of Texas, and Kenneth Dennison of Leominster; two sisters, Cathleen Dennison of Oxford, and Janice Paulauskas of Worcester; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, William Dennison, Gerald Dennison, and Richard Dennison.
He was born in Worcester, son of the late Harvey and Lois (Ross) Dennison, and lived in Leicester prior to moving to Worcester. He attended Leicester High School.
Mr. Dennison worked for Polyfoam Corporation in Northbridge for over 30 years, retiring in 2021. He was a Bruins and Celtics fan, and enjoyed spending time with his cat, Avery. Music was his passion. He loved spending weekends listening to country music and classic rock at his home bar. He would share his love of music as a DJ for events when the opportunity arose. He loved music, classic movies, and spending time with his family.
Memorial calling hours are Wednesday, January 22, 2025, from 3-6 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Neady Cats, P.O. Box 213, West Boylston, MA 01583.
