Peter Gagne

SOUTHBRIDGE - Peter Gagne, 62, of Southbridge, Massachusetts, passed away on April 19, 2025, at UMass Memorial Medical Center - University Campus in Worcester, MA. Born in Worcester to the late Louis A. and Rhea L. (Lapierre) Gagne, Peter spent most of his life in Spencer before moving to Southbridge in 2015.

Peter is survived by his two daughters, Nicole Gagne and her husband Evan, and Kelsey Gagne and her fiancé Steve. He cherished his six grandchildren, Olivia, Jameson, Teagan, Harlynn, Callum, and Lennon, who brought him immense joy. He also leaves behind his brother, Louis A. Gagne Jr. and his wife Elaine, and four sisters, Patricia A. Gagne, Laurie A. Gagne, Jean M. Normandin and her husband Rick, and Cheryl J. Chesson and her husband Ray. Peter was a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his brother, James M. Gagne, who passed away in 2003.

Peter worked as an Oil Burner Technician from the age of 16 and owned and operated Peter Gagne’s Heating in Southbridge for 10 years. He took great pride in caring for his customers and was particularly grateful to his brother-in-law, Rick Normandin, for his support.

An avid camper, Peter loved spending time with his grandchildren and took great care of his truck, affectionately named Tonka. Services will be held privately, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
