Pauline Chuplis

OXFORD - Pauline Adele (Bunevith) Chuplis, of Beverly Street, died Friday, February 21, 2014, at Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport. She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Joseph E. Chuplis Sr., who died in 1991. She is survived by two children, Patricia C. Rodier of Oxford, and Gerald J. Chuplis of Haverhill; a sister, Johanne P. Bunevith of Boston; 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Joseph E. Chuplis Jr.; and two sisters, Mary Bunevith and Ann Pitchman. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Casimir and Caroline (Rajeckas) Bunevith, and was a lifelong resident of Oxford. She graduated from Classical High School in Worcester in 1936. Mrs. Chuplis was a longtime member of St. Ann's Church in North Oxford. She will be remembered as a wonderful mother and grandmother, a fashion maven, and a woman of great taste and style. A funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2014, at St. Ann's Church, 652 Main St., North Oxford. Burial will be private at a later date at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
