WORCESTER – Paula M. Stuart, 71, of Midgley Lane, died peacefully on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus in Worcester, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her son, Jason C. Stuart and his wife Lisa of Oxford; her grandson, Jackson X. Stuart of Oxford; her brother, Michael Balmforth of Worcester; two sisters, Colleen Delgado and her husband Marcial of Millbury, and Kathy Lohnes of Worcester; and several nieces and nephews.

She was born in Holden, daughter of the late William M. and Dorothy A. (Morin) Balmforth, and lived in Somerville for many years before moving to Worcester 10 years ago.

Ms. Stuart was currently employed as the associate and program director for the Community Outreach Group in Boston. Previously, she worked as the Director of Community Development for the City of Somerville. She was an active member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Worcester, where she also served as a lector. She enjoyed shopping and loved nothing more than watching her grandson’s sporting events. She will be remembered as a generous person who took care of everyone.

Services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden Street, Worcester, MA 01606.

Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
