OXFORD - Paul A. Ljunggren Sr., 73, of Maid Marion Street, died Tuesday, July 8, 2014, in his home, with his family and loved ones by his side. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, RoseAnn (Miano) Ljunggren of Oxford; two sons, Paul A. Ljunggren Jr. and his wife Susan of Dudley, and Michael S. Ljunggren and his wife Kristin of Oxford; a brother, Jon Ljunggren of Mount Vernon, ME; four grandchildren, Andrew, Adam, Rebecca, and Mercedes Ljunggren; one great granddaughter, Sophia Ljunggren; a lifelong friend, Joseph Dyer of Shrewsbury; and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his brother, Robert Ljunggren who died in 2012. He was born in Worcester, the son of the late Ivar and Edel (Paulsen) Ljunggren, and lived in Worcester and Shrewsbury before moving to Oxford in 1976. Mr. Ljunggren worked at Worcester State Hospital for over 30 years, retiring in 2006. He also owned and operated P.A. Ljunggren and Sons trash collection, and was known as "Mr. Trash." He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Worcester. The family would like to thank Nancy Noonan and the V.N.A. of Southern Worcester County for their wonderful care and support. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 11, 2014, at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at St. Roch's Cemetery in Oxford. Calling hours are Friday morning from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to N.E.A.D.S., P.O. Box 1100, Princeton, MA 01541.
