NORTH OXFORD - Paul S. Kuszewski, 73, of Main Street, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, September 3, 2015. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary V. (McIlkenny) Kuszewski of North Oxford; two children, Corinna K. McGinnes and her partner Francis LaPorte of Barre, and Robert F. Kuszewski of Phoenix, AZ; three brothers, Conrad Kuszewski of Worcester, Gerald Kuszewski of Dudley, and Terrance Kuszewski of Woodbridge, VA; two sisters, Floris Bakerlis of Webster and Kathy Reed of Pocasset; a grandson, Kyle W. Grendell of Holden and his fiancée Magda Kizior; and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a brother, Kenneth Kuszewski. He was born in Webster, son of the late Stephen and Flora (Snay) Kuszewski, and lived in Webster before moving to North Oxford in 1976. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, serving aboard the U.S.S. Hunley. Mr. Kuszewski owned and operated Oxford Sheet Metal in North Oxford for 25 years, retiring in 2003. He was a member of the American Legion Post 58 in Oxford, where he served as Past Commander, Service Officer, and Chaplain. He was a member of the Auburn Elks. Mr. Kuszewski had many hobbies and enjoyed building almost anything. The family would like to thank the nurses at Overlook Hospice and VNA, for their exceptional care during his illness. Memorial calling hours are Friday, September 11, 2015, from 6-8 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. A prayer service will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the conclusion of calling hours. Burial will be private at a later date.
