OXFORD - Paul J. "Bucky" Cronin, 54, of Park Street, died Sunday, Dec. 20, 2009, at Kindred Parkview Hospital in Leicester. He is survived by two children, Jason P. Cronin and his wife Marcia of Auburn, and Jennifer L. Cronin of Charlton; a sister, Patricia "Tisha" Cronin of North Grosvenordale, CT; three grandchildren, three nephews, and many aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by two brothers, Michael Cronin of Oxford who died in 1994; and Douglas "Half-Buck" Cronin who died in 1996. He was born in Webster, the son of the late James R. and Helen E. "Honey" (Lincoln) Cronin, and was a lifelong resident of Oxford. He graduated from Oxford High School in Oxford. Bucky was a self-employed carpenter for many years. He was a member of the Oxford Men's Softball League. He loved fishing, camping, the outdoors, and spending time with his friends. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 29, 2009, at North Cemetery, Main St., Oxford. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942. Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, is directing the arrangements.
