Patrick M. McGrail

OXFORD – Patrick M. McGrail, 28, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. He is survived by his wife Lucelia Soares McGrail; his father and best friend, Brian A. McGrail of Rochdale; his mother, Christine M. (Ludy) Murphy of Leicester; his step-father, Larry J. Murphy of Leicester; his beloved brother, Sean A. McGrail and his wife Nikki of Spencer; three nieces, Jasmine Hunter, and Mia and Ava McGrail; his maternal grandfather, Thomas F. Ludy of Grafton; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and many very close friends. He also left behind his four-legged friend Myla. He was predeceased by maternal grandmother, Marie E. (Hart) Ludy; his paternal grandparents, William and Claire (Beaudreau) McGrail; and his aunt, MaryEllen Ludy.

He was born in Worcester, and lived in Rochdale before moving to Oxford five years ago.

Patrick owned and operated P.M. Equipment and Paving in Oxford. He enjoyed outdoor activities. In his youth, Patrick enjoyed riding four-wheelers, fishing, archery, snowmobiling and family trips to York Beach, Maine. As an adult, he loved riding his motorcycle with his close friend Pierre B. and took trips to Maine when he wasn’t working. Patrick treasured summer vacations at Uncle Mike’s in Camp Ellis, Maine.

Patrick was a hard-working man who put everything into running his business. Any free time he had was spent checking in on his family, whether repairing cars or helping in any way he could. Patrick will be remembered as someone who put everyone else first and was willing to help anyone - he had a selfless personality and was known for an off-color sense of humor. Being around Uncle Kenny and his family brought him joy, laughs, and comfort. Most of all, he loved spending time with his nieces.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at St. Joseph-St. Pius X Church, 1161 Main St., Leicester. Burial will be private at a later date.
