AUBURN - Patricia J. (Cardwell) Paradis, 75, of Stoneville Heights, died Thursday, June 21, 2012, in her home after a battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her husband of 28 years, Walter J. Paradis who died in 1993. She is survived by six children, Cindy Beaver of North Carolina, Deborah J. Koski of Tennessee, Walter A. Paradis of Auburn, Louis M. Paradis of Auburn, Shane W. Paradis of Warren, and Wendy Delgreco of North Carolina; two step daughters, Nancy Kenny of Auburn and Robin Paradis of Vermont; two brothers, Joseph Cardwell and Albert Cardwell, both of Worcester; a sister, Gloria Weatherbee of Worcester; and 20 grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Albert and Ruth (Richards) Cardwell, and lived in Homestead, FL, for 12 years before moving to Auburn 23 years ago. Mrs. Paradis was "Mrs. Claus" with her husband "Mr. Claus" throughout Broward and Dade Counties in Florida for many years. She volunteered for the American Red Cross and was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Calling hours are Sunday, June 24, 2012, from 2-5 p.m. at Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main Street, Oxford. Family reflections on Patricia's life will be held at 5:00 p.m. at the conclusion of calling hours. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 25, 2012, at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VistaCare Hospice, 2 Willow St., Suite 102, Southborough, MA 01745.
