OXFORD - Norman Fisher, 65, of Oxford, died suddenly at home on Saturday, July 24, 2010. Norm was a devoted and loving husband, and best friend of his wife of 22 years, Deborah Walters. He is also survived by his three children: Sonya Fisher of Lakewood, Washington, Robert Fisher of Athol, and William Fisher of Orange, as well as many grandchildren, two nephews, and a niece. Norm was born in Gardner, as the only son of Irene May (Mann) Fisher and Norman Fisher Sr. Norm worked as a computer technician at Quinsigamond Community College. He enjoyed going to work, with a great fondness for students and staff. He had attended QCC later in life, and then felt quite honored to join as a member of the staff. Norm was a passionate and loyal Red Sox fan, through struggles as well as championship. He also devoted himself to caring for many formerly homeless cats and dogs, providing sanctuary and love. Norm will be greatly missed, and always loved. At the request of the family, services will be private. A memorial service will occur at a later date. Paradis Funeral Home in Oxford is assisting the family with arrangements.
