OXFORD - Norman J. Belliveau, 65, died Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at the Ichabod Washburn Holy Trinity Hospice in Worcester, after a long illness. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Jean S. (Niedzialkoski) Belliveau; two daughters, Lori A. Brigham of North Oxford, and Stacy M. Thomas and her husband Jeffrey of Lynden, WA; a brother, Roger Belliveau of Providence, RI; a sister, Jeannette Bianculli of Auburn; five grandchildren, Mitchell, Austin, and Taylor Brigham, Reghan and Nolan Thomas; and his best friend, Bob Choiniere. He was born in St. John, New Brunswick, Canada, the son of the late Laurie and Evangeline (Landry) Belliveau, and lived in Canada and Worcester before moving to Oxford in 1975. He graduated from Worcester Boys Trade High School in Worcester and was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. Mr. Belliveau was an auto mechanic at Harr Motor Co. in Worcester for many years, retiring in 2007. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 5663 in Oxford. He enjoyed model trains, antique cars, and camping. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 8, 2011, at St. Roch's Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. A calling hour will be held on Friday from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. prior to the Mass at Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ichabod Washburn Holy Trinity Hospice, 1183 Main St., Worcester, MA 01603, or to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
