Nancy A. Marsan

March 24, 1944 — December 25, 2024

Oxford

OXFORD – Nancy A. (Vigliotti) Marsan, 80, of Oxford, Massachusetts, died Wednesday, December 25, 2024, at her daughter’s home.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Richard Ayres Marsan of Oxford; and two daughters, Michelle A. Faneuff and her husband Keith, and Christine E. Marsan of Oxford, and her dear goddaughter Lisa, of New Hampshire. She was predeceased by her beloved grandson, Ryan Marsan who sadly died in 2022, and her two brothers, Anthony Vigliotti who died in 2019, and Armand Paul who died in 2013.

Nancy was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Salvatore S. and Rose M. (Zenaro) Vigliotti. She grew up in Worcester and graduated from Commerce High School. After marrying her loving husband, Richard, they moved to Oxford. She shared a special love with Richard that was evident to all. Together they made sure that there were many family vacations. Nancy loved trips to Maine, specifically Bar Harbor, Boothbay, and Ogunquit. Nancy and Richard had many dates for “coffee and” they would say. She loved finding hidden gems where they could taste some new treats.

She retired from Cherry and Webb in Auburn. Previously, she worked for Woolworth’s and Mason Research, both in Worcester. She also spent several years at home raising her daughters. Nancy loved being a mom. She also worked as a nanny for her cousin Cindy’s children, Christina and Alexa. Nancy enjoyed being there for others. She cared for both her father and mother as their health declined. She loved being the best grandmother to Ryan. They shared many special trips together and had such a strong bond. Nancy always placed everyone’s needs before her own. She had such an empathetic heart, a positive attitude, and a great sense of humor. Nancy was loved by her family and friends. It is so heartbreaking to say goodbye to such a kind soul.

Nancy loved cooking, baking and cake decorating. The kitchen was the favorite room in her home. She loved to make chicken pot pie, meatloaf, cookies, snowballs, hermits, her mother’s fudge, and angel food cake. If she knew someone was going through a hard time, she would either bake or cook for them. Nancy is remembered for her giving nature and tender heart. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. A huge thanks to Christine for caring for mom, allowing her to remain at home, providing loving care. That was her biggest wish, to remain at home. We would also like to thank Wanda Diaz for helping mom continue her love of cooking and for the wonderful care she provided. Mom had the best son-in-law, Keith. She loved to laugh with him. Together, Michelle, Christine, Keith, and her loving caregiver Ashlee created a peaceful end-of-life experience for their beloved mother. Thank you to the Care Central Hospice team for all their support.
