OXFORD – Mildred S. (Reich) Hammond, 85, of North Fort Myers, FL, and formerly of Oxford, died Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at the Sandalwood Center in Oxford. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Andrew D. Hammond who died in 2013. She is survived by three sons, Michael Hammond of Spokane, WA, Andrew Hammond of Townsend, and Todd Hammond of Oxford; a brother, Alfred Reich of Dudley; a sister, Freda Reich of Dothan, AL; five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a sister, Marion Pearson of Lynn. She was born in Webster, daughter of the late Alfred and Elsie L. (Miller) Reich.
Mrs. Hammond retired from the former State Mutual Life Insurance Company in Worcester. She was a former member of the Oxford United Methodist Church in Oxford.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Sandalwood Center in Oxford for their exceptional care during her time there.
A private graveside service will be held at Mount Zion Cemetery in Webster. There are no calling hours. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
