WEBSTER – Michael J. Marsh, 65, of Prospect Street, died Sunday, January 16, 2022, at Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge surrounded by his family from complications of COVID-19. He is survived by five brothers and sisters, David J. Marsh and his wife Linda of Webster, Susan A. Marsh of Dudley, John J. Marsh and his wife Lynn of Webster, Lu Ann Marsh and her partner Donald Chase of Conway, SC, and Darlene A. Stoever and her husband Mark of Sterling; his uncle, Herbert Marsh of Dudley; two close friends, Dawn Gratton and Sherrie Konicki; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Donald H. Marsh Jr. He was born in Webster, son of the late Donald H. and Barbara A. (Cacciapouti) Marsh, and was a lifelong resident of Webster. He graduated from Bay Path R.V.T. High School in Charlton in 1974.
Mr. Marsh worked at the International Paper Company in Putnam, CT, for over 15 years. He collected sports memorabilia, liked his cats, and was a fan of the L.A. Rams football team. His greatest joy was fishing, and he especially loved deep sea fishing off Gloucester. He will be remembered as a quiet man who was kind to all who knew him.
A funeral will be held on Friday, January 21, 2022, from Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Basilica, 53 Whitcomb St., Webster. Burial will be private at a later date. Calling hours are Thursday, January 20, 2022, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family requests that those attending wear masks while attending services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Community Cat Connection, 289 Thompson Rd., Webster, MA 01570.
