Michael Deschenes

April 30, 1952 — July 15, 2012

WEBSTER - Michael A. Deschenes, 60, of Riverside Drive, died Sunday, July 15, 2012, at Harrington HealthCare at Hubbard in Webster. He is survived by his wife, Debra-Jeanne Deschenes; and his daughter, Ashley E. Deschenes, both of Webster. He was born in Worcester, the son of the late Leo R. and Mildred L. (Pickett) Deschenes Sr., and lived in Oxford and Worcester before moving to Webster 16 years ago. He graduated from Oxford High School in 1970. Mr. Deschenes was a truck driver for many years. He worked A. Duie Pyle Company in Northboro for the past 5 years, retiring earlier this year. He enjoyed gardening, working outdoors, traveling, and playing golf. The family would like to sincerely thank Michael's co-workers at A. Duie Pyle for their support throughout his illness. They would also like to thank Dr. Sara E. Russell, M.D., Jean Landry, Dr. Peter C. Enzinger, M.D., Mary C. Rapp, MSN, and Dr. Harvey Mamon, M.D. - all from Dana Farber & Brigham and Women's - for all their hard work helping Michael through his surgery and recovery. There is no funeral service planned. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brigham and Women's Hospital, Development Office, 116 Huntington Ave., 5th floor, Boston, MA 02116, or to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168, or to the Boston Children's Hospital, 1 Autumn St., #731, Boston, MA, 02215-5301. Paradis Funeral Home in Oxford is assisting with the arrangements. A very special thank-you to the "four groups" who stood by Michael with their prayers and positive thoughts - we love and thank you.
