Michael J. Brogan

CHARLTON – Michael J. Brogan, 69, of Charlton, passed away after a short illness on June 13, 2023 at UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus with his immediate family by his side

Mike was born on August 30, 1953 son of the late, Joseph E. and Cecile M. (Blinn) Brogan. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many.

Mike was a carpenter and general contractor by trade. He had a passion for working with his hands and building things that would make an impression. Mike enjoyed working for himself and teaching others in the carpentry trade. In addition to his career, Mike was a long-time member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Southbridge #334.

Mike had a stubborn but funny personality, with a large sense of humor all the way until the end. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, beach days at Misquamicut, Saturday dates with his wife, but more than anything, spending time with his three grandchildren.

Mike is survived by his wife of 22 years, Monique J. (Poulin) Brogan, his 2 daughters, Amanda Simpson and her husband, Scott of Connecticut and Natasha Sowa and her fiancé, Michael Simons of Charlton, his 3 grandchildren, Jaida Garcia, Belle Simpson and Sofia Simons; a brother, Timothy Brogan and his wife Gail of Southbridge MA; a sister Susan Thomo and her husband, Nick of Brookfield MA, and many other loving family members.

Mike will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A public graveside service will be held on Friday, June 23 at 12 Noon in West Ridge Cemetery, Charlton.  Flowers are welcome and may be sent to the funeral home.
