Matthew J. Brunet

ATTLEBORO – Matthew J. Brunet, 43, of Garden Street, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, in his home. He is survived by his mother, Jo-Ann Brunet of Worcester; his father, Richard J. Brunet and his wife Sandra of Putnam, CT; his son, Tyler J. Brunet of Webster; his sister, Beth-Ann Brunet and her children Yoleigh, Natani, and Avery Spears of Lebanon, CT; his uncle, William J. Meyers and his wife, Melissa of Killingly, CT; and three cousins, Sydney of Plainfield, CT, Ryley of Danielson, CT, and Cade of Killingly, CT.

Matthew owned and operated Upper Cuts Barber Shop in Uxbridge for seven years and worked as a master barber in Massachusetts for over 20 years. He earned a high school diploma from EASTCONN and lived in Canterbury, CT for 13 years of his youth where he enjoyed riding dirt bikes and quads. Matthew was known for his kind heart, generous spirit, and an infectious sense of humor.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Church, 10 H. Putnam Rd. Ext., Charlton. Burial will be at a later date at St. John’s Cemetery in Plainfield, CT. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, prior to the Mass.
