WEBSTER – Marylou Austin Bowse, 68, passed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, while surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her husband of 34 years, Reverend Bernard P. Bowse. Marylou was born in Stamford, CT, the daughter of the late J. Norman and Kaye Austin.
She is survived by her 5 children; Ron Bowse of Southbridge, MA, Justin Bowse (Kelsey) of Rochester, MI, Peter Behbahani (Ladan) of Chicago, Il, Katie Bowse (Justin) of Melbourne, FL, and Emily Bowse of Southbridge; 4 grandchildren: Kyomi, Satomi, Rie, and Selah; her brother, Hedley Austin (Debbie) of Chesapeake, VA; her nephew, Jon Austin (Kari) of San Diego, CA; and hundreds of dear cousins and friends throughout the United States and Canada.
Marylou graduated from Natick High School in 1973. She received her B.A. in Theology from Berkshire Christian College in 1977 and her M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Anna Maria College in 2006. She and her family served in the U. S. Air Force around the world, adopting 2 of their 5 children, and became part of the Advent Christian Ministry.
A visitation will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, immediately followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m.. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516, or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Northeast (New England), P.O. Box 22470, New York, NY 10087-2470.
