Mary Vita

OXFORD - Mary A. (Delvecchio) Vita, 89, of Ruth Evelyn Drive, died Friday, November 7, 2008, at Webster Manor Nursing Home in Webster. She was predeceased by her husband of 32 years, Nicola Vita who died in 1971. She is survived by three children, James J. Vita and his fiancée Susanne Coyne of Methuen, Maria Vita Calkins and her husband Michael of Oxford, and Nicholas J. Vita and his wife Nancy of Reno, NV; a sister, Daria Baylor of Yankeetown, FL; two grandchildren, Jeffrey D. Moffat of Oxford and James J. Vita Jr. of Hilo, HI; and three great grandchildren. She was born in Providence, RI, the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Margarita (Imondi) Delvecchio, and lived in Stoneham before moving to Oxford in 2003. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, November 14th, at the Charlton City United Methodist Church, 74 Stafford St., Charlton. Burial will be private at a later date. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Charlton City United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 387, Charlton City, MA 01508.
