OXFORD - Mary C. (Coleman) Mulvaney, 94, formerly of Wheelock St., died Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at the Life Care Center of Auburn. She was predeceased by her husband Philip J. Mulvaney of Oxford who died in 1981. She is survived by two daughters, Susan M. Nolin and her husband Robert of Oxford, and Sharon L. Nolin of Oxford; a brother, George Coleman of Worcester; a sister, Helen Massalski of Clinton; three grandchildren, Matthew Nolin and his wife Shannon of Oxford, Erin Nolin of Boston, and Michael Nolin and his wife TinaAnn of Warren; four great grandchildren, Lily Nolin, Madison Nolin, Alexis Nolin, all of Oxford, and Riley Nolin of Warren; and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by three brothers, George Coleman, Robert Coleman, and John Coleman; and a sister, Catherine Baker. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Michael and Catherine (Maddox) Coleman, and lived most of her life in Oxford. Mary Mulvaney was a member of St. Roch's Church for over 50 years. She was a member of the Council on Aging for 29 years, president of the Golden Age Club for 2 years, and ran the Cribbage Club and the Council on Aging Bingo. Mary Mulvaney was a member of the Tri-Valley Elder Services Project Council for 30 years and volunteered for the Oxford Meals Program for 20 years. While at the Life Care Center of Auburn, she was president of the Residents Council. Before retiring she was a manager for W.T. Grants. The family would like to thank' the nurses and staff at Life Care for their devotion and the compassionate care they provided for our mother and her family at a very emotional time. She will be remembered by her family and friends as a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. We will miss her forever, remember her fondly and love her always. A memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2011, at St. Roch's Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Burial will be at a later date at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Life Care of Auburn, c/o the Activities Center, 14 Masonic Circle, Auburn, MA 01501. Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, is directing the arrangements.
