OXFORD - Mary C. (Coogan) Morway, 76, of Wheelock St., died Tuesday, November 2, 2010, at UMass Medical Center - University Campus, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident last Wednesday. She was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Robert T. Morway of Oxford, who died in 1998; and a brother, Daniel Coogan. She is survived by three sons, Robert T. Morway Jr. of Florida, Timothy E. Morway and his wife Penny of Dudley, and Matthew J. Morway of Oxford; a daughter, Eileen "Missy" DeBoise and her husband Tony of West Boylston; a brother, Owen C. Coogan of Leicester; six grandchildren, Helen and Timmy of Dudley, and Michael, Shawn, Lisa, and Stephanie of Florida; several great grandchildren, three nieces, and two nephews. She was born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Owen and Pauline (Wright) Coogan, and lived in Worcester before moving to Oxford in 1959. She graduated from St. Peter's High School in Worcester in 1951 and Worcester State College in 1955. Mrs. Morway was a retired kindergarten teacher for Worcester Public Schools in Worcester. Later, she worked as a teacher's aide at the Chaffee School in Oxford. She was an active member of St. Roch's Church in Oxford. Mrs. Morway loved all sports and enjoyed attending Oxford High School football games. She greatly enjoyed the company of her many coffee shop friends. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 5, 2010, at St. Roch's Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Friends are respectfully requested to meet directly at church. There are no calling hours. Burial will follow at St. Roch's Cemetery, Oxford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Building Community/Living Community Fund, c/o St. Roch's Church, 334 Main St., Oxford, MA 01540. Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, is directing the arrangements.
