Mary Graham

OXFORD - Mary A. (Caisse) Graham, 83, of Wheelock Street, died Friday, January 24, 2014, in her home after an illness. She was the daughter of the late Rose Caisse, who served the town of Oxford for over 40 years in the selectmen's office. She was married to the late Dr. Francis C. Graham who died on May 24, 2007. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 27, 2007. Mary leaves two children, Mark Graham and his wife Theresa of Pomfret, CT; and Ellen Fogg and her husband Carl of Oxford; eight grandchildren, Kevin, Jennifer, Kristina, Erin, Valerie, Ryan, Patrick, and Shawn; and seven great grandchildren, Jasper, Dahlia, Gavin, Theresa, Travis, A.J., and Ava. She was predeceased by her daughter Elizabeth M. Graham, who died in 2001. Dr. and Mrs. Graham built and were the original owners of the former Oxford Manor Nursing Home, now known as Sandalwood. In addition, Mary was the Director of Nursing for many years and later became administrator, retiring in 1983. In later years, she returned to nursing at Oakwood Rehabilitation Center in Webster, retiring again in 1999. She graduated from Oxford High School, the Salter School, and St. Vincent Hospital School of Nursing. Mary was a lifetime member of St. Roch's Church in Oxford. She was a past member of the S.V.H. Alumni Association, Catholic Nurses, and the Oxford Woman's Club. A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 28, 2014, at St. Roch's Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. A calling hour will be held on Tuesday from 9:00-10:15 a.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, prior to the Mass. Burial will be at North Cemetery in Oxford at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Roch's Church, 334 Main St., Oxford, MA 01540, or to Tri-Valley Elder Services, 10 Mill St., Dudley, MA 01571.
