OXFORD - Mary L. (Halley) Fitton, 88, of June St., died Monday, Sept. 20, 2010, at her daughter's home. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Leo J. Fitton Jr. of Oxford, who died in 2007. She is survived by three children, Kenneth W. Fitton of Oxford, Dennis R. Fitton and his wife Ellen of Webster, and Maureen A. Butler and her husband Anthony of Oxford; nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a brother William; and two sisters, Kay and Helen. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Michael J. and Mary J. (Brown) Halley, and lived in Worcester and Auburn before moving to Oxford in 1965. She graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester in 1940. Mrs. Fitton worked at Atlas Rubber Stamp Co. in Worcester for 28 years, retiring in 1985. She enjoyed dancing with her husband every Saturday night for many years, especially at the Frohsinn Club in Shrewsbury. A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010, at St. Roch's Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made Overlook Hospice, P.O. Box 1000, Charlton, Massachusetts 01507. Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, is assisting with arrangements.
