Mary Bailey

DUDLEY - Mary A. (Bouret) Bailey, 96, of Hayden Pond Road, died peacefully on Saturday, March 14, 2015, in her home after a long illness. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 69 years, Robert E. Bailey who died on January 21, 2015. She is survived by two children, Gene Bailey and his wife Elizabeth of Dudley, and Linda J. Madonna of Leicester; five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her son Robert Bailey. She was born in Lowell, the daughter of the late Narcisse and Marie Amanda (LeBeouf) Bouret, and lived in Worcester, Cambridge, and Millbury, before moving to Dudley in 1969. Mrs. Bailey was a doll collector and was a published author in "Dressing Dolls in 19th Century Fashion." She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Dudley, a former Sunday School Teacher at the church, and was a member of the Ladies Benevolent Society. She was a former president and member of the Webster Dudley Woman's Club and enjoyed tracing her own genealogy as well as helping her friends discover theirs. A private funeral service will be held at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford. Burial will be private at a later date at All Faiths Cemetery in Worcester. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
