Martha Hokanson

OXFORD – Martha P. (Fitzpatrick) Hokanson, 53, of Hudson Road, died peacefully on Sunday, January 20, 2008, in her home. She was predeceased by her husband of 23 years, Robert F. Hokanson of Oxford, who died in 2004. She is survived by her son, Paul R. Hokanson of Oxford; and her sister, Paula M. (Fitzpatrick) Bruso of Auburn. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Paul A. and Irene A. (Ryan) Fitzpatrick, and lived in Auburn before moving to Oxford 25 years ago. She graduated from Auburn High School in 1972. Mrs. Hokanson was a logistics coordinator at C.D.N. Logistics in Worcester for five years, retiring several years ago. Previously, she worked at the Worcester Telegram and Gazette for several years. Mrs. Hokanson owned and operated Hokey's in Oxford with her husband for many years. She loved being with her friends and family, and she will be greatly missed. Memorial calling hours are Monday, January 28, 2008, from 4-7 p.m. at Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. No funeral service is planned. Burial will be private.
