OXFORD - Marjorie A. (Havey) Lajoie McTigue-McBain, 78, of Liberty Lane, died Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester after a brief illness. She is survived by five children, Lawrence P. Lajoie and his wife Laurey of Worcester, Wayne F. Lajoie and his wife Patricia of Pennsylvania, Thomas M. Lajoie and his fiancée Elaine Ham of Connecticut, Steven P. Lajoie and his wife Maria of Webster, and Michele L. Moran and her husband Steven of Oxford; four step children, David McTigue, Daniel McTigue, Doug McTigue, and Darren McTigue; her husband, Raymond K. McBain of Oxford; her former husband, Normand Lajoie of Florida; her brother, Gordon J. Havey of Marlboro; her sister, Sharon Greenberg of Worcester; many grandchildren and great grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald K. McTigue; a brother, Raymond Havey; and a stepson, Donald McTigue, Jr. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Raymond J. and Doris B (Menoche) Havey, and lived in Worcester and Millbury before moving to Oxford 11 years ago. Mrs. McTigue-McBain was a medical assistant for Family Health and Social Services in Worcester for 12 years, retiring in 1992. Previously, she was a medical assistant for several area physicians. She was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church in Worcester, and was a devoted grandmother who loved to spend time with her grandchildren. Calling hours are Friday, May 10, 2013, from 6-9 p.m. at Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. A Mass and burial will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the UMass Memorial Foundation, c/o the Cancer Care Fund, P.O. Box 2795, Worcester, MA 01613.
