Marjorie Braney

NORTH OXFORD - Marjorie A. (Senior) Braney, 89, of Shady Lane, died Thursday, March 8, 2012, at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester. She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, George F. Braney who died in 1999; her daughter-in-law, Nancy Braney who died in 2001; five brothers and three sisters. She is survived by five children, Paul J. Braney and his wife Mary of Spencer, Dennis P. Braney and his wife Bridget of Cave Creek, AZ, Gail M. Duda and her husband Ray of Sterling, Patrice A. Billings and her husband Alan of Loyal, WI, and Jill F. Beaulieu and her husband Ken of Danville, NH; a sister, Patricia Cahill of Cape Cod; 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and many nephews, and nieces. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late John and Julia (Keating) Senior, and lived in North Oxford for over 50 years. She graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester. Mrs. Braney was a library aide at the Clara Barton School in Oxford for many years, retiring in 1982. She was a member of St. Ann's Church in North Oxford, and she loved reading and knitting. A funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2012, from Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Ann's Church, 652 Main St., North Oxford. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Calling hours are Monday, March 12, 2012, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Ann's Church, P.O. Box 488, North Oxford, MA 01537.
