OXFORD - Marianne J. (Brouthers) Adams, 71, of Corey Drive, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at Penobscot Bay Medical Center in Rockport, ME. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, William B. Adams of Oxford; her 96 year-old mother, Doris (Cormier) Brouthers of Oxford; three children, Mark A. Adams and his wife Wendy of Millbury, Laurie A. Dupuis and her husband Eric of Oxford, and Jason W. Adams of Oxford; a brother, Arthur Brouthers of Spencer; five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Arthur Brouthers, and lived in Worcester before moving to Oxford 20 years ago. She graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester. Mrs. Adams enjoyed spending time at her vacation home in Tenants Harbor, ME. She was an avid sports fan and was a season ticket holder for the Worcester Ice Cats and Sharks for 17 years. She was a member of the Allmerica Financial Bowling League for 25 years and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was proud to be a 5-year cancer survivor. Memorial calling hours are Monday, June 23, 2014, from 9-11 a.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. A memorial service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at the conclusion of the calling hours. Burial will be at a later date in Tenants Harbor, ME. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
