Margaret Talman

OXFORD- Margaret M. (Goldsmith) Talman, 82, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2020 at Lanessa Extended Care in Webster. She was predeceased by her husband, George J. Talman, Jr., who passed away in 1990.

Mrs. Talman is survived by her children; Theresa A. Willems and her husband Andrew of Woodland Park, Colorado, Michael G. Talman and his wife Sharon of Oxford, and Patricia A. Murray and her husband Jeffrey of Oxford; her sister Anne Gillis of Worcester; nine grandchildren, one great grandson and several nephews and nieces.  She was also predeceased by her brother, Edward J. Goldsmith, Sr.

Mrs. Talman was born in Worcester, daughter of the late George and Esther (Turnan) Goldsmith, and graduated from Commerce High School. She was former member of Our Lady of the Angels Church in Worcester and a member of St. Roch’s Church in Oxford. She was also a member of the “The Club” with close friends. She enjoyed working in her yard, planting flowers, and gardening. She also loved to knit and she donated many hats to Zion Lutheran Church in Oxford. She loved her family and grandchildren more than anything.

The family would like to thank the staff at Lanessa Extended Care and the Hospice of Western and Central Massachusetts for their compassionate care.

Burial will be private at North Cemetery in Oxford. Donations in her memory made be a made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452.

Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
