Madonna Merolli

ALTAMONTE, FL/OXFORD - Madonna A. (Murphy) Merolli, 75, died Tuesday, January 21, 2014, at her daughter's home in Oxford. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth A. Gaddis and her husband Mark of Oxford; and four grandchildren, Rocco, Rebecca, Amy, and Maggie. She was born in Milford, the daughter of the late James and Alice (Carroll) Murphy, and lived in Milford, Bellingham, and Uxbridge, before moving to Alamonte, FL, 20 years ago. She graduated from St. Mary's High School in Milford and Becker College. Mrs. Merolli was a service representative for New England Telephone Company for 33 years, retiring in 1989. Later, she was the secretary to the general manager of New England. She loved reading and enjoyed traveling the world. A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2014, at St. Ann's Church, 652 Main St., North Oxford. Burial will be private at a later date. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Clara Barton Camp for Children with Diabetes, P.O. Box 356, North Oxford, MA 01537. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, is directing the arrangements.
