OXFORD/SOUTHBRIDGE - Louise M. (Guido) Paquette, died peacefully with her loving family at her side, at her home in Southbridge on Friday May 15, 2015. Her husband of 41 years, Edmond J. Paquette, Sr., died in 1985. She is survived by her three children, Edmond Paquette, Jr. of Millbury, Stephen Paquette and his wife Marie of Rochdale, and Linda Menard and her husband Paul of Southbridge; 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, many nephews, nieces and godchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers, Francis Guido and his wife Antoinette of Worcester and Anthony Guido of Florida. Louise was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Rocco and Colena (Rivers) Guido. She lived most of her life in Oxford before moving to Southbridge in 2010 to live with her daughter and son-in-law. Louise worked at American Optical in Southbridge for 14 years before retiring in 1982. She was a member of St. Roch's Church and enjoyed bowling at the Auburn Ten Pin for many years. Louise volunteered for the Oxford Senior Center Meals on Wheels; was active in the Oxford Little League, and Oxford Women's Softball League. She made afghans for the Southbridge Cancer Center where she was also a volunteer; and was a Silver Knitter at Harrington Hospital in Southbridge. A funeral will be held on Monday, May 18, 2015, from Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main Street, Oxford, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Roch's Church, 332 Main Street, Oxford. Burial will follow at North Cemetery in Oxford. Calling hours are Sunday, May 17, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Center at Harrington Hospital, 100 South Street, Southbridge, MA 01550.
