Loretta Hagerty

OXFORD – Loretta I. (Choiniere) Hagerty, 82, formerly of Howarth Rd., died Saturday, June 30, 2007, at Millbury Healthcare Center in Millbury. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph M. Hagerty of Oxford, who died in 1972. She is survived by two sisters, Anna A. Oby of Worcester and Claire Cofsky of Arizona; and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by two brothers, Leo Choiniere and Elie Choiniere; and four sisters, Anita Messier, Rita Johnson, Jeanette Kelly, and Theresa Jones. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Eugene and Albina (Grenier) Choiniere, and had lived in Oxford since 1959. Mrs. Hagerty was a member of St. Roch's Church in Oxford and a member of the Oxford Senior Center. She was an accomplished seamstress and artist, and enjoyed crocheting and crafts. She was an exhibitor at many craft shows in the area. A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2007, at St. Roch's Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Thursday, July 5, 2007, from 8:30-10:00 a.m. at Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, prior to the Mass. Flowers may be sent or memorial contributions may be made to St. Roch's Church, 334 Main St., Oxford, MA 01540.
