NORTH OXFORD - Lisa "Angel" Nolet, 43, of Main St., passed away on Friday, Sept. 4, 2009, at St. Vincent Hospital, with all of her loved ones by her side. She is survived by her son Joseph S. Nolet of North Oxford, with whom she lived; four sisters, Jean M. Wilber of North Grosvenordale, CT, Joan M. Gallant of North Oxford, Debra V. Nolet of North Oxford, and Claire Heywood of Uxbridge; her godson Justin Gallant; and many special nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by three brothers, David P. Nolet of North Oxford who died in 1995, Joseph A. Nolet of Dudley who died in 1999, and Robert L. "Bo" Nolet of Mendon who died in 2008; a sister, Lorraine A. Loftus of Charlton who died in 2000; a nephew, Peter C. Gallant who died in 2002; and a great nephew, Colin M. Wilber who died in 2005. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Adelard J. and Jean Ada (LaBossiere) Nolet, and was a lifelong resident of North Oxford. She graduated from Oxford High School in Oxford. Lisa was the activities director at the Meadows of Leicester for several years, retiring in 2004 due to illness. Previously, she worked at Sandalwood Nursing Home in Oxford, Crescent Manor in Grafton, Donna Kay in Worcester, and Hammond Hill Convalescent Home in Worcester, each of which thought of her as a dedicated friend to the residents. She enjoyed working with special needs children at the Clara Barton School in North Oxford. Lisa was a member and volunteer at the First Baptist Church in North Oxford. She was 2nd Lieutenant and worked in administration for the Civil Air Patrol. She loved yard sales and sold goods to raise money for those less fortunate. She will be remembered as a loving and generous mother, sister, aunt, godmother, and friend. Calling hours for Lisa are Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009, from 5-8 p.m. at Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home at 8:00 p.m. at the conclusion of calling hours. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a scholarship fund in her name at the First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 577, North Oxford, MA 01537. www.paradisfuneralhome.com
