OXFORD – Leonard F. Dolbec, 61, died Friday, April 21, 2017, in his home after a long illness. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Kathleen H. (Carr) Dolbec of Oxford; three children, Joshua J. Dolbec and his wife Jessica of Oxford, Nikki P.K. Dolbec of Summerville, SC, and Cory P. Dolbec of Oxford; a brother, Jayme A. Bellofatto and his wife Jane of Oxford; two sisters, Cheryle L. Insley and her husband David of Townsend, and Michele D. Poulin and her husband David of Wolcott, CT; two granddaughters, Lily P. Dolbec and Josephine T. Dolbec, both of Oxford; and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his first wife, Theresa (Cuddy) Dolbec; and a sister, Pamela A. Leslie who died in 2011. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Edwin “Emmy” and M. Dianne (Kokernak) Bellofatto, was raised in Natick, and lived in Oxford for the past three years. He graduated from Natick High School in 1973.
Mr. Dolbec was a lifelong mechanic, spending the past 16 years as a master mechanic with Ford Motor Company. He enjoyed playing pool, NASCAR racing, and was an avid fisherman. He attained the rank of Eagle Scout with Boy Scout Troop 1 in Cochituate.
Memorial calling hours are Sunday, April 30, 2017, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. A prayer service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the conclusion of calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 1200 Hosford St., Suite 101, Hudson, WI 54016-9316.
