OXFORD – Leona M. (Cameron) Napieralski, 90, of Dudley Road, died Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Norman F. Napieralski of Oxford; four children, Michael Napieralski of Oxford, Paul S. Napieralski and his wife Maureen of Oxford, Mary T. Schlegel of Florida, and Gloria A. Talcott of Florida; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Donald Cameron and Paul Cameron.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late George and Leona (Goulet) Cameron, and lived in Worcester before moving to Oxford in the early 1940’s.
Mrs. Napieralski was a minister at the Tabernacle of Praise in Oxford for many years. In addition, she worked at Oxford Middle School, State Mutual Life Insurance Company in Worcester, and a chiropractic office in Webster. She assisted her husband in operating Norm’s Upholstery for several years. Mrs. Napieralski was a former Cub Scout leader in Oxford and worked at the Community-Go-Round Clothing Store, which provides free clothing to those in need.
The family would like to thank the staff at Webster Manor Nursing Home and Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge, for the exceptional care given to Leona during her time with them.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 6, 2024, at the Tabernacle of Praise (at the Oxford United Methodist Church), 465 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at North Cemetery in Oxford. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tabernacle of Praise, 465 Main St., Oxford, MA 01540.
