Leo Ayotte, Jr.

WEBSTER / OXFORD - Leo A. Ayotte, Jr., 63, of Brookline St., Webster, died August 17, 2011, in his home, after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his brother, Alan J. Ayotte and his partner Kelly Joyce of North Oxford; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins. He was predeceased by his longtime companion, Patricia Jette. He was born in Worcester, the son of the late Leo A. and Vivian (Kirby) Ayotte Jr., and lived in Oxford before moving to Webster 7 years ago. He was raised at the Singletary Rod and Gun Club, where his parents were the caretakers. He graduated from Oxford High School in 1966 and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Mr. Ayotte was a security guard at G&S Security. Previously he worked at the Fair in Worcester. He was a member of the American Legion Post 58 in Oxford, enjoyed playing Keno, was an avid Red Sox and Patriots Fan, and loved to spend time with his friends. Mr. Ayotte's family would like to thank the V.A. Hospital for the great care he received, especially by Dr. Michelle Hankins and Dr. Vivian Sanchez. They would also like to thank the entire care team at Beacon Hospice, Kelly Joyce for the compassion and love shown to Leo during this time, and K's Transportation for their understanding. Calling hours are Sunday, August 21, 2011, from 3-5 p.m. at Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. There will be a prayer service and military flag presentation at the conclusion of calling hours. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Beacon Hospice, 67 Millbrook St., Worcester, MA 01606.
