OXFORD - Lena H. (Roman) Power, 93, of Woodland Drive, died Friday, August 30, 2013, at the Life Care Center of Auburn. She was predeceased by her husband, Edmund F. Power of Oxford who died in 2001. She is survived by four children, Edmund F. Power II and his wife Katherine of North Port, FL, Dennis A. Power and his wife Gayle of Oxford, David J. Power of Oxford, and Nancy L. Bray and her husband Lawrence of Oxford; her former daughter-in-law, Joyce (Murphy) Power of Wheelright; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, James J. "Jesse" Power who died in 1988; and a granddaughter, Amanda R. Bray who died in 2012. She was born in Lowell, the daughter of the late Titus and Tillie (Dirsa) Romanowski, and lived in Worcester before moving to Oxford in 1956. She graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester. Mrs. Power worked at Denholm and McKay in Worcester for many years. She was a member of St. Roch's Church and it's Rosary Sodality. She was a member of the Oxford Woman's Club many years ago. She will be remembered as a family person whose life was focused on her children. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at St. Roch's Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery in Worcester. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jesse M. Clark Fund, c/o Webster Five Cent Savings Bank, 343 Main St., Oxford, MA 01540. Paradis Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
