Lee Despeaux

WEBSTER – Lee A. Despeaux Jr., 68, of Granada Hills, CA, and formerly of Webster, died Monday, October 30, 2017, after a long illness. He is survived by two brothers, John P. Ivascyn and his wife June of Northridge, CA, and Daniel W. Ivascyn and his wife Catherine of Charlton; and several nephews, nieces, and cousins. He was born in Oslo, Norway, and was the adopted son of the late John and Stephanie (Chmura) Ivascyn, and lived in Webster before moving to Granada Hills, CA, many years ago. He graduated from Bartlett High School in Webster and attended Grossmont College in El Cajon, California. He was a disabled U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War.

A private funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Basilica in Webster, followed by burial with military honors at St. Joseph’s Garden of Peace. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Veterans Inc., 69 Grove St., Worcester, MA 01605. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
