Kert Gallant

FISKDALE – Kert J. Gallant, 49, of Finlay Road, died Friday, August 25, 2017, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 4 years, Jocelyn B. (Cagud) Gallant; his mother, Nancy P. (Polinski) Gallant of Fiskdale; three children, Gregory A. Gallant and his girlfriend Jennifer Miskell of Southbridge, Casey R. Gallant and his girlfriend Michelle Champagne of Wales; and Lexi Pearl Gallant of Fiskdale; three brothers, William Gallant and his wife Melanie of Maine, Keith Gallant and his wife Elizabeth of Brookfield, and Mark Gallant and his wife Bonnie of Holland; two sisters, Deborah Leite and her husband Anthony of Leicester, and Darlene Ashry and her husband Rick of Maine; three grandchildren, Brockton Gallant, Bianca V. Oathout, and Bryant J. Miskell, all of Southbridge; and several nephews and nieces, including his loving niece Casandra Leite. He was predeceased by his brother Scott Gallant. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Al J. Gallant, and lived most of his life in Fiskdale.

Mr. Gallant was a stone mason for many years. He enjoyed fishing and loved to spend time with his family.

A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, September 8, 2017, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Cherry Valley American Legion Post 443, 167 Main St., Cherry Valley. Burial will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kert J. Gallant Memorial Fund, c/o Cornerstone Bank, 121 Main St., Leicester, MA 01524. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
