Kenneth Lucier

OXFORD - Kenneth L. Lucier, 70, of Sutton Avenue, died Wednesday, November 20, 2013, in his home, surrounded by family. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Dorothy M. (White) Lucier of Oxford; two sons Scott E. Lucier and his wife Amy of Sterling, and Jay M. Lucier and his wife Tara of Auburn; four brothers, Albert P. Lucier of Worcester, Walter J. Lucier and his wife Charlotte of Rutland, Daniel W. Lucier and his wife Connie of Hubbardston, and James L. Lucier and his wife Barbara of Lady Lake, FL; two sisters, Susan B. Evans and her husband John of Raymond, NH, and Judith E. Hannum of Waterville, ME; four grandchildren, Skylar, Jason, Morganne, and Camden; and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a brother, Leonard Woodward; and a sister, Celeste Gilchrist. He was born in Grafton, the son of the late Alexis P. and Mary E. (Sampson) Lucier, and lived most of his life in Millbury and Oxford. He graduated from St. John's High School in Worcester in 1961, and was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving from 1962 - 1965. Mr. Lucier owned and operated New England Balance Service for 25 years, retiring in 1998. He was a member of St. Roch's Church in Oxford. Mr. Lucier was a private pilot for many years and enjoyed many activities including, camping, boating, and riding his motorcycle. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. A funeral Mass will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2013, at St. Roch's Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Burial will be private at a later date. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Roch's Church, 334 Main St., Oxford, MA 01540, to be used at the discretion of the pastor. Paradis Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
