OXFORD – Kenneth L. Listewnik, 75, of Pine Street, died suddenly on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus in Worcester, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Debra L. (Kurtyka) Listewnik of Oxford; two children, Marc L. Listewnik and his wife Katie of Framingham, and Amanda L Listewnik of South Grafton; two granddaughters, Evlyn and Jolene Listewnik; several nieces and nephews; and many more family members and friends who loved him dearly. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Listewnik; and a sister, Barbara Carsus.
He was born in Worcester, son of the late Wallace and Stella (Kackiela) Listewnik, and lived in Worcester before moving to Oxford in 1985. He graduated from South High School in Worcester in 1967, and received an associate’s degree from Leicester Junior College. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Mr. Listewnik worked at Wyman-Gordon in North Grafton and Worcester for 31 years, retiring in 2015. In addition, he worked for the Worcester Department of Public Works for several years. He enjoyed caring for his yard and gardening, as well as traveling to his camp in Wells, ME, and summer vacations in Florida. He was a fan of the Boston sports teams, and especially loved the Celtics. He enjoyed having people around him, baking, grilling, and gatherings of all kinds, especially Christmas. Ken will be remembered as a true family man who loved his family above all.
A funeral will be held on Monday, March 31, 2025, from Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Roch’s Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Burial will be private at a later date at Notre Dame Cemetery in Worcester. Calling hours are Sunday, March 30, 2025, from 2-5 p.m. at the funeral home.
