NORTH OXFORD – Katherine Marie (Regan) LaCroix, 90, of Southbridge Road, died Feb 1, peacefully in her home. She was predeceased by her husband of 24 years, George L. LaCroix of North Oxford, who died in 1995. She is survived by seven children, Barry LaCroix of Ludlow, David Fugatt and his wife Kathy of North Oxford, Richard Fugatt and his wife Ellen of Charlton, Anthony Fugatt of Worcester, Mary Willis and her husband Andrew of Medford, Patricia Fugatt and her partner George Esteves of North Oxford, and Robert Fugatt of Shingle Springs, CA; her greatly beloved sister, Mary Connors of Westfield; her dear friend Marge Durand of Springfield, nine grandchildren, Shawn, Lisa, Debbyn, Michael, Steven, Caryn, Mark, Sophia, and Julian; nine great-grandchildren, Angela, Sarah, Caitlyn, Ryan, Jordan, Eliza, Anna, Brendan and Payton; and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her first husband, Ralph Fugatt, two sons, Mark Fugatt and Michael Fugatt; a brother, Joseph Regan and his wife Mary Regan; a grandson, Joseph Fugatt and a daughter-in-law, Karen Fugatt. She was born in Springfield, daughter of the late Michael and Bridget (Sullivan) Regan, and lived in Springfield before moving to North Oxford in 1969. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1945.
Mrs. LaCroix worked at Rossi’s Cleaners in North Oxford for over 30 years, retiring in 2009 at 82. She was a Girl Scout leader when her daughters were young and was a member of the Oxford Woman’s Club. She was a member of St. Ann’s Church in North Oxford, served as an extraordinary minister of the Eucharist, CCD director and volunteered for many church activities and committees, including the St. Vincent de Paul Society. In addition, she participated in many spiritual activities with the church including retreats, Marriage Encounter, and pre-cana marriage preparation.
Her beauty, kindness and grace touched every person she encountered over her 90 years and she will never be forgotten.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2017, at St. Ann’s Church, 652 Main St., North Oxford. Those attending are respectfully requested to meet directly at the church. Burial will be private at St. Roch’s Cemetery in Oxford. Memorial calling hours are Wednesday, February 8, 2017, from 5-8 p.m., at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, c/o St. Ann’s Church, P.O. Box 488, North Oxford, MA 01537.
