OXFORD – Katharine C. (Lieblang) Boyd, 88, of Locust St., died Monday, October 15, 2007. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Donald F. Boyd of Oxford; two daughters, Patricia A. LaFontaine and her husband Richard of Oxford, and Kathleen L. Boyd of Oxford; a brother, John Lieblang of Amityville, NY; four grandchildren, Lynn Delaney and her husband Robert of Charlton, Karen Norgren of New York, Michelle Boucher of Oxford, and James Boyd and his girlfriend Heather Mendella of Oxford; four great grandchildren, Stephanie and Michael Jones of Oxford, and Dylan and Matthew Delaney of Charlton; and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a daughter, Barbara J. Boucher of Oxford, who died in 1982; a brother, George Lieblang; and two sisters, Margaret O'Rourke and Dorothy Wellbrock. She was born in Amityville, NY, the daughter of the late William and Janet (Brooks) Lieblang, and lived in Amityville, NY, before moving to Oxford in 1945. She graduated from Amityville High School. Mrs. Boyd was a bookkeeper, working in the Oxford High School Superintendent's Office for many years, retiring in 1986. She enjoyed ceramics and reading, loved flower gardening, and especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Katharine was the heart of her family, a loving compassionate person who saw the best in everyone. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Katharine will be remembered in a private family service. Burial will be private at North Cemetery in Oxford. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Friends of the Oxford Public Library, 339 Main St., Oxford, MA 01540. Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, is in care of the arrangements.
