NORTH OXFORD – Julia M. (Riendeau) Madaga, 83, died Monday, July 7, 2008, at St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester. She is survived by three daughters, Nance Giles and her husband Bert of Spencer, Noreen Parmentier and her husband David of North Oxford, and Tammy Riendeau and her fiancé Peter Bailey of North Oxford; five sisters, Jeanette Paige of FL, Dora Smith of CA, Doris Choiniere of Webster, Alice Pelletier of CA, and Ann Reep of NC; six grandchildren, Michelle Payson, Sean Giles, Jennalyn Giles, Ben Parmentier, Bree Hall, and Zack Riendeau; six great grandchildren, Jeremy and Sophia Payson, Abigail McDaniel, Brady and Lysette Parmentier, and Vivian Giles; and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by six brothers, and two sisters. She was born in Oxford, the daughter of the late Joseph and Alice (Lambert) Riendeau. Mrs. Madaga was employed for over 30 years as a certified nurse's aide at Memorial Hospital in Worcester. After a brief retirement, she returned to the workforce at Quinsigamond Community College, operating the HLC Café until January 2008. She enjoyed gardening, cards, and bingo. She loved discussing politics and watching her favorite television station, C.N.N. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 11, 2008, from 6-8 p.m. at Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. A prayer service will follow calling hours on Friday at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private at North Cemetery, Oxford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
