OXFORD – Judith Irene Stone, 76, of Main Street, died Friday, September 27, 2024, at Brookside Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Webster, after a long battle with COPD. She was a three-time cancer survivor, battling breast cancer and ovarian cancer during her life.
She is survived by a son, Michael R. DiRoberto Jr. of Webster; a brother, Kevin Stone and his wife Ann of Oxford; four grandchildren, Katie L. White of Oneonta, AL, Tonya M. Frenier of Webster, Sabrina M. DiRoberto of Webster, and Dylan M. DiRoberto of Webster; a great-grandson, Carter J. White of Oneonta, AL; her former husband, Michael R. DiRoberto Sr. of Webster; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two daughters, Melissa DiRoberto who died in 1987, and Sheila A. Trahan who died in 2021; and a brother, Walter Stone who died in 2008.
She was born in Webster, daughter of the late Harry and Elida (Lincoln) Stone, and was a lifelong resident of Oxford. She graduated from Oxford High School.
Ms. Stone was a silk screen printer for Steele Products in Leicester for over 30 years. Later, she worked at Shell Gas Station in North Oxford for 10 years prior to retirement. She enjoyed reading, watching Lifetime movies, riding motorcycles, crossword puzzles, and game shows. She enjoyed spending time at the beach, and traveled to Cape Cod and Hawaii. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who would do anything for her family.
Calling hours are Tuesday, October 1, 2024, from 5-7 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main Street, Oxford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, P.O. Box 756, Osceola WI 54020-0756.
