OXFORD - Judith E. (Munroe) O'Brien, 71, of West Street, died Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, William V. O'Brien of Oxford; three children, Thomas R. O'Brien of Douglas, Michael J. O'Brien and his wife Carol of Thompson, CT, and Kelly A. O'Brien-Hartnett and her husband Daniel Hartnett of Oxford; two grandchildren, Brennan and Kiera O'Brien of Thompson, CT; one niece and two nephews, Caryn, Timothy, and William McCrohon. She was predeceased by a sister, Anne Rondinone; and a brother, Robert Mahoney. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Everett and Marion (Beatty) Munroe, and lived in Worcester before moving to Oxford 45 years ago. Mrs. O'Brien graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester in 1962. She enjoyed hosting gatherings at her home, entertaining, traveling, spending winters in Florida, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. A funeral will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2015, from Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Roch's Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Burial will be private at a later date. Calling hours are Friday, July 31, 2015, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
