Judith B. Joy

OXFORD - Judith B. (Brigham) Joy, 79, of Fox Run, died Tuesday, August 8, 2023.  She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Robert E. Joy of Oxford, who died in 2017.  She is survived by her daughter, Robin M. Allen and her husband Patrick of Oxford; two grandsons, Sean R. Allen and Conor P. Allen, both of Oxford; and a large extended family in Ireland.  She was predeceased by a son, Mark R. Joy who died in 2018.  She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Alfred E. and Jeannette (Remillard) Brigham, and lived in Worcester before moving to Oxford in 1972.  She graduated from Ascension High School in 1962.

Mrs. Joy worked at Park and Shop in Auburn for 17 years, retiring in 2000.  She was a member of St. Ann’s Church in North Oxford.  She enjoyed playing cards in several card leagues, and crocheting.

The family would like to thank Marjorie from Jewish Healthcare Hospice, for the exceptional care given to Judy.
