Judith Carlson

OXFORD – Judith A. (Jacobson) Carlson, 86, of Lind Street, died on Wednesday, September 21, 2022.  She was predeceased by her husband, Donald W. Carlson of Oxford who died in 1976.  She is survived by four children, Debra L. Carlson of Dudley, Karen L. Curran and her husband Richard of Oxford, Robert M. Carlson of Gardner, and Susan L. Carlson of Dudley; her sister, Elsa Oliveri and her husband Thomas of Boylston; three grandchildren, Tyler Smith, Michael Carlson, and Olyvia Carlson; her longtime companion, Joseph Penny of Whitinsville; nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a daughter, Kristine L. Carlson who died in 2021; and a sister, Joanne J. Fenuccio who died in 2019.  She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Ralph H. and Jennie M. (Humphrey) Jacobson, and lived most of her life in Oxford.

Judy and her companion Joe spent 23 years as snowbirds in Delray Beach, Florida, and they had many wonderful friends there.  She was an avid Red Sox fan and watched games whenever they were on.  She enjoyed reading, shopping, going to lunch, trips to the casino with her daughters, and most of all loved spending time with her family.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, September 30, 2022, at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford.  Calling hours will be held on Friday from 10:00-11:30 a.m., prior to the service.
